A look at how people shape mAbxience from within

In 1665, scientist Robert Hooke laid the foundations for what we now know as cell theory. Through his microscope, he observed that cork was made up of tiny cavities resembling a honeycomb, which he called cells.

Today, whether we’re scientists, lawyers, or teachers, we all understand that essential idea: the cells that make us up are the basic units of life. Each has a specific function, and together they form tissues and organs that keep the organism in balance.

Something very similar happens within a company. People with different skills and responsibilities collaborate within a shared structure to make everything work. But what really makes the difference isn’t just the organization — it’s the shared purpose that gives meaning to every action: the DNA. Because when each person finds a place to grow, contribute, and feel part of something greater, the result comes naturally — individual growth turns into collective success.

 

How we work and why

As with every company’s beginning, at mAbxience we defined our values, vision, and mission as the foundation for everything we do. These guiding principles are reflected in our onboarding materials, in our workspaces, and at our business meetings. But beyond the words, what truly matters is how they come to life in our daily work.

We sat down with Silvia Uzuriaga, our Head of HR, to hear her perspective.

In other words, our focus is on excellence, not perfection, but on continuous improvement. On going one step further, not settling for good when we can make it better. That’s the spirit behind Hooke Project, our professional development plan inspired by scientist Robert Hooke. Just as he looked through his microscope to uncover the hidden potential of cells, we take a closer look at the talent we already have within. Hooke Project is an invitation to grow together, transforming how we learn and work. It helps us identify, unlock, and strengthen that potential. Because we believe growth doesn’t just happen; it’s designed, nurtured, and celebrated.

Hooke launched in 2024 with great momentum, bringing together initiatives that support every stage of life at mAbxience:

• mAbschool: technical training and customized programs led by internal and external experts.
• Training Programs: learning paths to strengthen management skills, technical abilities, languages, and global values.
• Micrographia: a leadership development program for managers.
• Excellence Programs: advanced training, mentoring, and coaching for a selected group of high-potential professionals.

But it’s not all about work and improvement, we also love celebrating what makes us proud. In recent months, we’ve achieved major milestones, including EMA approval for two biosimilars and multiple strategic agreements to bring essential treatments to more people. And we know none of this would be possible without a team that drives continuous improvement every day.

That’s why in 2025 launched the COGO Awards, a new initiative that celebrates effort, innovation, and continuous learning. With three rounds of nominations throughout the year, we’ll close the first edition by announcing the winners in early 2026.
